    Two years of hell for a house deposit that takes ten years otherwise? In a heartbeat. Peace is a luxury you have to buy first.

    Did exactly this. The money was real, but I aged five years in two and my marriage paid the invoice. No amount un-does that.

    The trap is that 'two years' becomes ten, because the lifestyle grows to swallow the salary. Nobody hates a job their way to freedom.
